I felt I was making a difference and helping in a time when ppe was in short supply.

I make my memory cushions/blankets for people who have lost loved ones and for people who have just grown out of sports/uniforms ect that are wanting to keep their memories alive.

I made the headband's and scrub bags as I worked in a school but wasn't working as on a rota. I felt I needed to give a little back so decided to make and give them to Huddersfield/ calderdale hospitals. Then someone asked me to make her some face masks. I made items for nursing homes in Newsome. Headbands going to Endoscopy staff at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

For the headband's I used my own material which is upcycled and I put a shout out for larger pieces for the scrub bags and a lady kindly donated some material. For the facemasks I bought cotton for the outer side and used upcycled cotton for the inside.

One customer said, ‘Very imaginative work by this wonderfully creative entrepreneur. Taking something of great sentimental value and transforming it to a unique accessory. This was made from my children's dungarees of over twenty years ago and wanted to get them out of the bottom drawer and make use of them. Truly overwhelmed with how Sarah deconstructed them and transformed them keeping the memories of the original product.’

I used Machine and hand sewing.

I didn't start my business because of the pandemic it was started in 2019 due to me having a breakdown due to work, I was doing my wardrobe out and came across a leather jacket that wasn't good enough to go to the charity shop so I made a bag out of it and the upcycling came from that and by sewing it got me through a tough time I love what I do and enjoying making memories for others to enjoy both past and present.
