Windmill Church of England Primary School

As a school, both staff and students are extremely creative at work and at home. Throughout the pandemic, universal images shown relentlessly in the news impacted on our creative outputs. It gave us all the opportunity to explore and reference the lockdown in our own personal way, revisiting existing skills and exploring new ones.

The wallhanging sewn in year 4 was inspired by local artist David Hockney’s Grimms Fairy Tales etchings. An image of Rapunzel in lockdown.

Year 6 created a prayer tree inspired by Buddist prayer flags.
